Astra Promotes Local Products at 2025 Investor Daily Summit
Jakarta. Conglomerate Astra, including its automotive business Astra Otoparts, promoted the use of domestically made products at the 2025 Investor Daily Summit.
Astra Otoparts’ director, Ronny Kusgianta, joined the forum’s panel discussion on “National Pride through Local Products: Strengthening National Identity”. During the discussion, the company walked the audience through its long journey of building local industrial strength through key areas: product innovation, collaboration, and technological independence.
"Forums like the Investor Daily Summit bring together various stakeholders to jointly build a robust and competitive Indonesian economic future. For Astra, national pride is not just about local products, but about how what Indonesians have made can meet the needs of the community while also elevating the country’s reputation on the global stage," Astra’s chief of corporate affairs Boy Kelana Soebroto said.
Astra also set up a booth showcasing a wide range of Astra Otoparts’ products. This includes the Astra Otopower public electric vehicle charging station. There are also medical devices such as 4D ultrasound, electrocardiogram, and a column scale with digital height measurement.
Astra Otoparts’ subsidiary Astra Komponen Indonesia (ASKI) has developed 33 high-tech medical devices created by Indonesians under the GRIN brand. These products have a local content level ranging between 40 and 59 percent. They are also equipped with artificial intelligence technology for medical image processing. These devices have made their way to over 70,000 community health centers and 70 hospitals across the archipelago.
Desa Sejahtera Astra, the company’s campaign to empower Indonesia’s rural areas, also became a key point at its 2025 Investor Daily booth. The company showcased the coffee made by the farmers that benefited from the Desa Sejahtera Astra program under the same brand “Kopi Legenda”. The booth also had an interactive play area that served as an educational space showcasing the work of Astra's partners through a sustainable supply chain.
Astra’s support for local products reflects its commitment to support Indonesia’s growth and sustainable development goals.
