Jakarta. Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), a subsidiary of Astra International, has announced the winners of the 19th Toyota Dream Car Art Contest (TDCAC), highlighting Indonesian children’s growing creativity in envisioning future mobility solutions that address social and environmental challenges.

The annual competition, part of Toyota’s Toyota Berbagi Ilmu education pillar, has evolved over the past four years into a long-term inclusive education program focused on nurturing children’s creative thinking beyond a conventional art contest.

“The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is Toyota’s contribution to advancing education through an inclusive learning program that fosters creative and sustainable thinking among Indonesian children. We hope these artworks will become increasingly relevant as solutions to social challenges while inspiring a better future,” said Toyota-Astra Motor President Director Takuya Yokoyama.

Through the competition, Toyota encourages young participants to imagine future mobility solutions inspired by everyday social and environmental issues. Children are invited to transform those challenges into creative concepts with the potential to become innovative mobility solutions, in line with Toyota’s vision of creating mobility for all.

This year’s winning artworks reflected children’s empathy toward society and the environment, featuring ideas ranging from disaster response vehicles and renewable energy concepts to inclusive transportation and AI-powered family assistance.

In the under-eight category, five-year-old Muhammad Ninoor Firdaus from Banjarbaru won with a concept for a vehicle that provides medical assistance for rabies victims while helping vaccinate, evacuate, and care for infected animals. Six-year-old Arashya Darmaya from Bengkulu imagined a car capable of reducing noise pollution by converting sound particles into useful energy, while four-year-old Afsheena Qaireen Zivana from West Jakarta designed a dolphin-inspired rescue vehicle to assist flood victims safely and sustainably.

Among participants aged 8-11, Khalif Arziqi Nasution of Surabaya proposed a vehicle that collects and processes discarded human hair into construction materials for affordable eco-friendly housing. Aqueena Dphilosophia Nofianda from Bengkulu created a concept that filters harsh words into polite expressions to promote kindness, while Shaqilla Sakina A. Putri from Yogyakarta envisioned a futuristic vehicle equipped with digital drawing tools and robotic arms to help children with disabilities participate in mural competitions.

In the 12-15 age category, Evan Radithya Nio from North Jakarta designed a flood rescue vehicle inspired by fish scales and octopus tentacles to improve water mobility and rescue operations. Livia Titania Putri of Bandung imagined a solar-powered mobile laboratory that nurtures plant life on Earth and Mars, while Aisyah Dzakira Khansa from Denpasar developed an AI-powered stroller that interprets babies’ cries into holographic visual cues to help parents better understand their infants’ needs.

Vice President Director of Toyota-Astra Motor Jap Ernando Demily said the contest’s transformation reflects Toyota’s commitment to creating broader opportunities for children across Indonesia to express their creativity.

“In line with Toyota’s commitment to Indonesia, the transformation of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest reflects our dedication to providing a more inclusive platform for children from across the country. Collaboration with education stakeholders has also helped improve participants’ quality while enriching teachers’ perspectives. The resulting works are increasingly authentic, visionary, fresh, and unique as ideas for the future,” Demily said.
