Astra Honda Safety Ambassadors Draw 4.8 Million Views Ahead of Safety Riding Camp 2026
Jakarta. The safety riding campaign led by Astra Honda ambassadors has garnered 4.8 million views across social media platforms, highlighting the impact of youth-driven digital advocacy ahead of the Safety Riding Camp (SRC) 2026.
The milestone was achieved through 247 pieces of content produced by Astra Honda safety riding ambassadors as part of the Safety Riding Camp (SRC) 2026 organized by the Astra Honda Motor (AHM) Foundation.
The program initially involved 128 of Astra Honda’s top safety riding ambassadors selected through regional competitions held since April 2026. The final stage of SRC 2026 will take place on July 7-9 at the Astra Honda Motor Safety Riding & Training Center in Deltamas, Bekasi, West Java.
Currently, 53 regional finalists from across Indonesia are undergoing intensive training to prepare for the competition. Of those, only 36 participants will advance to the final event.
The finalists comprise high school students and teachers from six Astra Honda Safety Riding Labs, nine university student ambassadors from two universities, and eight early childhood education (PAUD) teachers from Medan, Yogyakarta, and Karawang.
AHM Foundation Chairman Ahmad Muhibbuddin said Safety Riding Camp reflects the foundation’s collaboration with educational institutions to strengthen the role of young people in building a sustainable road safety culture. By leveraging social media, the initiative aims to extend the reach of safety messages through young people acting as agents of change.
“We believe young people have tremendous potential to become agents of change in fostering a culture of safe riding. Through the Sinergi Bagi Negeri spirit of SRC 2026, we are not only looking for the best safety riding ambassadors, but also strengthening their capabilities to deliver road safety messages creatively, effectively, and to a wider audience,” Muhibbuddin said.
For participant Imam Utomo of SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Kepanjen, joining SRC 2026 marks an opportunity to broaden the impact of road safety education and promote safer, more comfortable riding within his community.
“I am proud to be part of the younger generation promoting a culture of safe riding. I am excited to take part in the Safety Riding Camp 2026 finals because I will gain valuable experience and new competencies, which I hope will help me become an agent of change capable of encouraging more people to embrace road safety,” Imam said.
During the final competition, participants will undergo a series of assessments and training sessions designed to strengthen their competencies as safety riding ambassadors. The program includes tests on road safety theory, riding skills, simulations using the Honda Riding Trainer (HRT), and educational presentation skills evaluated by Astra Honda License Instructors (AHLI).
Through its Sinergi Bagi Negeri initiative, AHM Foundation said it remains committed to expanding the impact of road safety education by developing more learning facilities and empowering safety riding ambassadors across Indonesia.
