Toward 70 Years: Astra Creates and Grows Together with Indonesia
Jakarta. As it approaches its 70th anniversary on Feb. 20, 2027, Astra has officially unveiled its anniversary logo and launched a series of activities under the theme “Creating and Growing Together with Indonesia”.
The logo was introduced at Alun-Alun Astra, held at the East Parking Plaza of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) in Senayan, Jakarta, on Aug. 15, marking the start of Astra’s journey toward its 70th anniversary.
The launch was led by Astra Director Djap Tet Fa and Astra Executive-in-Charge Boy Gemino Kalauserang, accompanied by Chief of Corporate Affairs Boy Kelana Soebroto, Chief of Human Capital Development Matilda Ester Rotinsulu, Chief of Corporate Finance & Accounting Endro Wahyono, and Chief of Corporate Information System & Technology Anastasia Krisnawati.
For nearly seven decades, Astra has grown alongside Indonesia through innovation, collaboration, and contributions aimed at delivering lasting benefits to society. The company’s journey has been shaped together with the government, employees, partners, customers, communities, and other stakeholders across the country.
“Astra has a philosophy of continuously growing and developing, much like a shady tree that provides shelter and brings benefits to many people. In line with this philosophy, Astra’s 70th anniversary logo is depicted as a tree—growing from strong roots, developing over time, and ultimately delivering broad benefits to society,” said Astra Chief of Corporate Affairs Boy Kelana Soebroto.
The theme “Creating and Growing Together with Indonesia” reflects Astra’s commitment to continue creating through innovation, collaboration, and tangible contributions that benefit society. It will serve as the common thread throughout the anniversary celebrations, underscoring that reaching 70 years is not only a moment to celebrate past achievements, but also an opportunity to continue creating, collaborating, and growing alongside Indonesia in the years ahead.
The celebration also coincides with Indonesia’s 81st Independence Day, which carries the theme “Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia.” Through its journey toward its 70th anniversary, Astra said it remains committed to delivering tangible benefits and contributions while supporting the realization of an independent, just, and prosperous Indonesia.
Alun-Alun Astra provided a space for the public to celebrate Astra’s journey while learning more about the works and contributions of Indonesian communities. Visitors could take part in various activities, including interactive booths, creative workshops, and a showcase of Desa Sejahtera Astra, bringing together communities with Astra’s various works, innovations, and contributions.
Held as part of the Semesta Berpesta entertainment stage on Aug. 15-16, 2026, Alun-Alun Astra also featured performances by Indonesian musicians, including Raisa, Tulus, King Nassar, Rizky Febian, Mahalini, RAN, JKT48, The Adams, and others.
The spirit of mutual care reflected in Alun-Alun Astra is also in line with Astra’s efforts to continue growing with communities by delivering broader benefits. Over nearly seven decades, Astra’s journey has generated tangible benefits for more than 16 million people, including 6.9 million workers and their families, as well as 3 million beneficiaries of its social contribution programs through Desa Sejahtera Astra, which spans 1,533 villages across 35 provinces.
Nurani Astra Supports Communities Affected by the NTT Earthquake
As part of its concern for communities affected by the 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) on the morning of Aug. 15, Alun-Alun Astra also became an opportunity to turn the spirit of mutual care into concrete action.
A portion of ticket sales proceeds will be donated through Nurani Astra to support communities affected by the disaster.
The initiative is in line with Astra’s aspiration to achieve Prosperity with the Nation (Sejahtera Bersama Bangsa) and supports Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
