Jakarta. Astra International and its partner micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) recorded Rp 104.9 billion in potential transactions at Trade Expo Indonesia 2026, including Rp 103.14 billion in potential export deals and Rp 1.76 billion in agreements with domestic retail networks.

The transactions were recorded through 12 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) and 19 letters of intent (LoIs) during the exhibition, held from Oct. 14 to 18 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in BSD, Tangerang, Banten.

The products covered a range of commodities, including agricultural produce, coffee, tea, cocoa, fisheries products, palm sugar, and processed food and beverages, targeting prospective partners in international markets and domestic retail networks.

“This is a concrete example of multi-stakeholder collaboration to expand MSME products' reach in global markets. Astra hopes this achievement will inspire MSMEs to continue developing their potential and flagship products to become more competitive, reach wider markets and create added value for the nation,” Astra Executive in Charge Boy Gemino Kalauserang said.

Among the export agreements reached during the exhibition were cocoa from Desa Sejahtera Astra in Sikka, East Nusa Tenggara, for the Australian market, and dried anchovies from Desa Sejahtera Astra in Jepara, Central Java, for Japan.

Other deals involved areca nuts from Desa Sejahtera Astra in Jambi for India, green coffee beans from Desa Sejahtera Astra in Cikoneng for the United Kingdom, butterfly pea flower extract from Optima Global Harmoni, an MSME supported by Yayasan Astra – Yayasan Dharma Bhakti Astra, for South Korea, and herbs and spices from Desa Sejahtera Astra in Banyuwangi, East Java, for Pakistan.

Domestically, business agreements included mini-cube palm sugar products from Desa Sejahtera Astra Temon Agro Lestari for retail networks. Sekar Jawi, an MSME supported by Yayasan Astra – Yayasan Dharma Bhakti Astra, also secured an agreement for its herbal beverage products. These products are expected to be distributed to consumers across Indonesia.

Astra's efforts to strengthen business capacity and expand export markets form part of its social contribution initiatives aimed at improving community welfare through business development, better product quality and wider market access for local enterprises and village-based products.

One such initiative is the Desa Sejahtera Astra Export Champion program, which Astra runs in collaboration with the Trade Ministry and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). The program provides assistance through several stages, including export training, product curation, preparation and business pitching and matching sessions to connect businesses with prospective partners.

Toward Astra's 70th Anniversary
Astra continues to support community development and independence across Indonesia through initiatives that strengthen local capabilities. The commitment is part of the company's journey toward its 70th anniversary on Feb. 20, 2027, under the theme “Creating and Growing Together with Indonesia.”

Nearly seven decades of operations have reflected not only Astra's business growth but also its efforts to deliver broader benefits to the country. At least 16 million people have benefited from Astra's initiatives across Indonesia, including the Desa Sejahtera Astra program, which has reached more than 1,500 villages in 35 provinces.

The program supports community development in healthcare, education, environmental protection and entrepreneurship.

Through Desa Sejahtera Astra and Yayasan Astra, the company aims to continue creating value alongside Indonesia's communities, in line with its aspiration to prosper together with the nation and support Indonesia's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
