Astra Otoparts Celebrates 50 Years of Automotive Growth
Jakarta. Astra Otoparts (Astra Otoparts) marked its 50th anniversary on Thursday under the theme “Leap to Lead,” reflecting the company’s commitment to continued growth, adaptation, and strategic leaps in response to the evolving automotive industry and future mobility needs.
Established on Sept. 10, 1976, Astra Otoparts has continued to strengthen its capabilities in manufacturing and trading automotive components for four-wheelers, two-wheelers, and commercial vehicles, serving both the original equipment manufacturer and replacement market segments.
The company’s strengthened capabilities have supported its business performance. Following the pandemic, Astra Otoparts recorded record-breaking performance for four consecutive years. The positive momentum continued through the first half of 2026, with the company maintaining solid performance amid ongoing dynamics in the automotive industry.
“Fifty years is not a short period. Astra Otoparts has gone through various challenges, but we have always turned them into opportunities to learn, adapt, and move forward. That is what has brought Astra Otoparts to where it is today. Going forward, we will continue to transform into a Diversified Components Powerhouse by strengthening our businesses, developing technology, and creating new sources of sustainable growth,” Astra Otoparts President Director Yusak Kristian Solaeman said.
50th Anniversary Activities
Astra Otoparts’ 50th anniversary served as an opportunity to organize a series of activities involving both external and internal stakeholders. The programs reflected the spirit of togetherness, dedication, and hard work that have formed the foundation of Astra Otoparts’ five-decade journey.
The 50th anniversary spirit was also reflected in activities with customers, including a meet-and-greet with Alex Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer for 50 users and mechanics of Aspira products.
Astra Otoparts also held the GS CaRe (Customer Assistance & Retailer Empowerment) program, which encourages customers to better understand the importance of preventive battery maintenance, including through a series of activities reaching 50 schools and universities.
For its employees, Astra Otoparts organized the AOP 50th Anniversary Logo & Theme Competition, Special Edition Ngobrol Bareng Direktur, AOP Fest as a sports event, Health Talk Special, and the AOP scholarship program.
The company’s five-decade journey has also been accompanied by a commitment to sustainability. Through various environmental and social initiatives, Astra Otoparts continues to seek to create long-term value for communities and the environment.
The commitment was reflected in the inauguration of the AOP Group Seedling House, the planting of 50 mangrove trees, 50 mango trees, 50 mahogany trees, and 50 tabebuya trees, as well as training for 50 assisted micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and the AOP Mengajar program, which involved 50 hours of teaching activities.
The series of activities concluded with the peak celebration of Astra Otoparts’ 50th anniversary and Employee Day 2026.
Astra Otoparts is embarking on the next 50 years under the “Leap to Lead” spirit, with a continued focus on growth, innovation, and creating greater impact for the industry, communities, and the environment.
