Jakarta. BPJS Kesehatan received top honors at the Top Digital Awards 2025 for its continued success in digital transformation across Indonesia’s National Health Insurance (JKN) program.

The institution won three awards:

  • Top Digital Implementation 2025 #Level Stars 5
  • Top Leader on Digital Implementation 2025 awarded to BPJS Kesehatan President Director Ghufron Mukti
  • Top CIO on Digital Implementation 2025 awarded to Director of Information Technology Edwin Aristiawan

Digital Transformation Supporting 282 Million Indonesians
According to Ghufron, the achievement reinforces the strength of the JKN program, which now covers 282.92 million participants — more than 98 percent of the Indonesian population. He noted that the awards reflect BPJS Kesehatan’s commitment to maintaining public services that are accessible, efficient, and equitable.

“This achievement is the result of innovations developed by BPJS Kesehatan officers to deliver the best service to JKN participants. We are building breakthroughs not only for participants, but also for all stakeholders in the JKN ecosystem,” Ghufron said.

Participants now only need to present their national identification number (NIK) to receive health services at registered facilities, eliminating the need for photocopied documents as long as their membership is active.

He also highlighted the role of the Mobile JKN app, which allows participants to take queue numbers online, update personal data, find nearby health facilities, and complete Health History Screening remotely.

BPJS Kesehatan has also expanded its non–face-to-face administrative services, enabling participants to manage their accounts via WhatsApp (Pandawa) at 08118165165 and the Care Center 165.

Strengthening Secure, Integrated Technology Architecture
Director of Information Technology Edwin Aristiawan emphasized that BPJS Kesehatan is committed to further strengthening its technological infrastructure to support a more adaptive, secure, and integrated JKN system.

“This award motivates every BPJS Kesehatan officer to continue improving service quality. The recognition shows that our digital transformation efforts are bringing positive impact to the JKN ecosystem,” Edwin said.

He also highlighted key innovations, including i-Care JKN, which allows doctors to access participants’ visit history and prescribed medications, enabling faster and more accurate decision-making.

BPJS Kesehatan has also integrated NIK with FRISTA (Face Recognition BPJS Kesehatan), a biometric authentication system for participants.

“With FRISTA, the verification process becomes faster and more accurate, reducing queues and minimizing errors,” Edwin noted.

In addition to the digital transformation awards, BPJS Kesehatan also received the Disway Awards 2025 for the Anugerah Brand Populer Indonesia category from Disway Group, recognizing its strong public reputation and high visibility across media platforms.

These awards further strengthen BPJS Kesehatan’s mission to provide healthcare services that are easy, fast, and non-discriminatory, supported by ongoing innovations tailored to public needs.
