Jakarta. BPJS Kesehatan says it remains committed to making healthcare services more accessible for participants of the National Health Insurance (JKN) program by expanding its healthcare network, strengthening digital administrative services, and making it easier for members to change their registered primary healthcare facility (FKTP) based on their domicile.

BPJS Kesehatan Head of Public Relations Rizzky Anugerah said the agency now partners with 23,723 primary healthcare facilities nationwide. While JKN participants are allowed to change their registered FKTP according to their needs, the process follows specific procedures to ensure continuity of care.

"The FKTP serves as the main gateway for participants to access healthcare services. Therefore, changes to a participant's registered FKTP are regulated to ensure continuity of care, allowing medical personnel to better monitor a participant's health history. As a general rule, participants may apply to change their FKTP after being registered at their current facility for at least three months," Rizzky said.

According to Rizzky, the three-month requirement is not intended to limit participants' access to healthcare. Instead, the policy is designed to maintain service quality while ensuring a balanced distribution of participants across healthcare facilities so services can be delivered optimally.

However, BPJS Kesehatan recognizes that public mobility continues to increase. Participants who relocate for work, receive assignments in another region, or move to follow family members may apply to change their registered FKTP without waiting for the three-month period.

"BPJS Kesehatan wants to ensure participants continue to enjoy easy access to healthcare services wherever they carry out their activities. Therefore, participants who meet certain criteria may apply for an earlier FKTP change so they can continue to receive accessible primary healthcare services," Rizzky said.

BPJS Kesehatan also ensures participants can continue accessing healthcare even when they are outside the area of their registered FKTP. Participants may receive services at another BPJS Kesehatan-affiliated primary healthcare facility for up to three visits per month. In emergency situations, participants may seek treatment directly at any healthcare facility based on medical indications.

As part of its ongoing digital transformation, BPJS Kesehatan has also expanded access to administrative services. Participants can now request an FKTP change through the Mobile JKN application, the PANDAWA administrative service via WhatsApp at 08118165165, Care Center 165, or the nearest BPJS Kesehatan branch office.

"In line with our ongoing digital transformation, BPJS Kesehatan continues to provide administrative service channels that are increasingly accessible to the public. Participants can now change their FKTP through the Mobile JKN application, the PANDAWA WhatsApp service, Care Center 165, or the nearest BPJS Kesehatan branch office," Rizzky said.

The convenience of BPJS Kesehatan's digital services has also been experienced by Lutfillah, a JKN participant from Pasuruan. She said administrative services have become much easier to access without having to visit a BPJS Kesehatan office.

"If I can complete the process through the Mobile JKN application, I prefer using the app. Changing my FKTP is easy, saves time, and eliminates the need to queue at the office. Everything can be done from home or while I'm at work, making it much more practical," Lutfillah said.

Lutfillah added that the Mobile JKN application has made various membership-related administrative services easier to access. She said the digital platform helps participants complete JKN administrative processes more quickly and conveniently.
