Jakarta Jobfest 2025 to Offer Thousands of Openings Across 37 Firms
Jakarta. The Jakarta Provincial Government will hold Jakarta Jobfest 2025, or the Jakarta Job Vacancy Festival, on Aug. 19–20 at Plaza Bendera, Jakarta International Velodrome in East Jakarta.
The event, now in its third wave, will be officially opened by Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung on Tuesday. More than 37 companies from a wide range of sectors are set to participate, offering thousands of job opportunities.
Industries represented include manufacturing, transportation, warehousing, communications, construction, finance, insurance, leasing, wholesale trade, culinary and hospitality, as well as social, community, and entertainment services.
The central government aims to lower the unemployment rate to 4.44 percent in 2026 from 4.76 percent in February 2025.
The job fair is free and open to the public. According to the official Instagram account @disnakertrans_dki_jakarta, visitors are required to check in via the SiapKerja and FestivalNyariKerja apps to register and upload their job applications at the venue.
In addition to the job fair, the festival will feature a bazaar, musical performances by disabled musicians under the guidance of the East Jakarta Social Office’s PSBNRW Cahaya Batin, a mobile Samsat service for vehicle tax, and a mobile library.
Chico Hakim, special staff to the governor for social communication, said the event reflects the administration’s commitment to boosting employment in the capital. “From the beginning, job creation has been a top priority for Governor Pramono Anung and Deputy Governor Rano Karno,” he said.
The festival will also include career development seminars and hands-on training sessions. “There will be training showcases ranging from makeup artistry and barista skills to welding techniques,” said Syaripudin, head of the Jakarta Department of Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy.
