BTV Semesta Berpesta Wraps Up 2026 Tour on Independence Eve
Jakarta. BTV Semesta Berpesta, a traveling music and family entertainment festival, wrapped up its 2026 tour in Jakarta on Sunday night, bringing two days of performances and festivities to a close on the eve of Indonesia's Independence Day.
Jakarta was the eighth and final stop of this year's tour, following previous editions in Bali, Yogyakarta, Malang, Makassar, Bandung, Bogor and Bekasi.
Unlike the previous stops, the Jakarta finale was staged over two full days in the Senayan area, featuring some of Indonesia's most popular musicians.
Thousands of visitors attended the opening day, which featured solo singer Raisa, all-female idol group JKT48, rock band The Adams and dangdut singer Nassar.
"You are so enthusiastic and you keep screaming, so I have to match your energy because affection should go both ways, right?" Raisa told the cheering crowd. "You make me excited about life."
The second day featured pop group RAN and singers Rizky Febian, Mahalini and Tulus, who was given the honor of closing this year's festival.
"Tonight, my job is to make sure all of you go home happy. That's why I'm going to perform songs that will entertain you," Tulus told the audience.
The singer also offered to sign albums brought by fans after his performance and received flowers from a member of the audience.
"Are those flowers for me? Thank you. I'm touched by the surprise," Tulus said.
He then marked the approaching Independence Day with a message to the crowd.
"I'm grateful to be able to perform here and meet all of you tonight, especially because tomorrow is Indonesia's Independence Day," he said. "Happy birthday to Indonesia."
Earlier in the evening, RAN opened the second day's musical performances with an energetic set. The group reflected on nearly two decades in Indonesia's music industry and thanked fans for supporting its career.
"It's hard to believe our group is turning 20 this year. Some of you here may not even have been born back then," vocalist Rayi Putra Rahardjo told the audience. "Thank you for being part of our journey, and we're going to sing our best songs for you."
Alongside its own songs, RAN performed "Cukup Sudah", a song by the late Indonesian singer Glenn Fredly, bringing a touch of nostalgia to the festival.
Now in its fifth year, BTV Semesta Berpesta combines live music with family entertainment and community activities. The Jakarta edition also featured Zumba sessions, games, an Asian Pop Contest, a food bazaar and other attractions.
