BTV Semesta Berpesta Opens in Bali with Packed Crowd and Kotak Finale
Denpasar. The annual music festival BTV Semesta Berpesta successfully launched its multi-city concert series this year from Sanur Beach in Bali on Saturday night, attracting around 7,500 spectators eager to watch their favorite performers.
The highlight of the event was rock band Kotak, which closed the show and energized the crowd, many of whom had traveled from other provinces to sing along.
Lead vocalist Tantri performed several of the band’s biggest hits, including Tendangan dari Langit, Pelan-Pelan Saja, Masih Cinta, and Terbang. Fans enthusiastically joined in, creating an electric atmosphere that carried late into the night.
The audience was not limited to residents of Denpasar and nearby areas. Music fans also traveled from East Java, South Sumatra, and West Java to attend the concert.
One fan, Vita, made the trip from Palembang to watch her favorite band live.
“The event is so exciting. I came here so I could finally watch Kotak perform in person. I love their songs, and I know almost all of them,” she said.
A similar sentiment was shared by Ivan and Putri, a couple who traveled from Jember specifically for the concert.
“The event is wonderful. We came all the way from Jember to see Kotak. We hope BTV Semesta Berpesta returns next year so we can enjoy an event like this again,” Putri said.
As sunset faded over Bali’s coastal tourism area, the beach transformed into a stunning natural venue, framed by orange skies and cooled by the evening sea breeze.
Fans had begun filling the area in front of the stage as early as 3 p.m. to secure the best viewing spots.
