BTV Semesta Berpesta Brings Music, Food, and Family Fun to Bandung
Bandung. BTV Semesta Berpesta brought its nationwide music festival to Bandung on Saturday, giving local performers the opportunity to share the stage with established Indonesian artists before thousands of spectators at Tegallega Field.
The day-long festival opened with performances by the choir of the Indonesia University of Education (UPI), emerging band Lemon, and teenage vocal duo DeVFias, setting the stage as the crowd steadily filled the venue ahead of the evening's headline acts.
One of the night's most memorable moments came from entertainer Aldi Taher, whose unconventional performance drew laughter and applause from the audience. In between performing songs by Indonesian and international bands, he engaged the crowd in lively banter, invited them to join him in a moment of prayer, and even shared his personal phone number, joking that he hoped someone in the audience would invite him to perform at a future event.
The brief moment of collective prayer created an atmosphere rarely seen at modern music festivals, adding a unique touch to the evening's entertainment.
Acclaimed indie rock band Barasuara then took over the main stage with its energetic performance, combining driving rhythms, dynamic stage presence, and dramatic lighting effects that had thousands of fans singing along.
Closing the festival was pop-rock band Vierratale, whose strong following in Bandung ensured a rousing finale. Lead vocalist Widy Soediro Nichlany energized concertgoers -- many of whom had been at the venue since the afternoon -- with a string of the band's biggest hits.
Designed as a family-friendly event, BTV Semesta Berpesta offers more than live music. Visitors enjoyed food and fashion bazaars, a fun walk, group exercise sessions, games for children and teenagers, and a wide selection of food and beverages offered by local small and medium-sized enterprises.
The 2026 BTV Semesta Berpesta tour is being held in eight cities across Indonesia and will conclude with its final concert in Jakarta next month.
