BPJS Kesehatan Sets Up Eid Homecoming Posts
Jakarta. Health insurance provider BPJS Kesehatan has established homecoming posts ahead of the Eid exodus.
These posts provide various health services and information related to the National Health Insurance (JKN) program during their homecoming journey.
"Travelers can access these services at the BPJS Kesehatan Homecoming Posts from March 13 to 18,#," BPJS Kesehatan's finance and investment director Bayu Teja Muliawan said.
The posts are available on:
- Merak Port in Banten;
- Pulo Gebang Terminal in East Jakarta;
- Cipularang Toll Road Rest Area at Km 88A in Purwakarta;
- Cipali Toll Road Rest Area at Km 166A in Majalengka;
- Ungaran Toll Road Rest Area at Km 429 in Semarang;
- Masaran Toll Road Rest Area at Km 519A in Sragen;
- Purabaya Terminal in Sidoarjo;
- Soekarno-Hatta Port in Makassar.
BPJS Kesehatan regularly operates the Homecoming Posts every Eid period as a form of commitment to providing easy access to services for JKN participants traveling home. BPJS Kesehatan Homecoming Post aims to ensure that travelers can still access health services and information related to the JKN program during their travels.
"BPJS Kesehatan continues to provide face-to-face membership administration services at branch offices. Branch offices are open on March 18, 20, 23, and 24, 2026, from 8.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. local time, so that people can still receive direct administrative services both before and after the Eid holiday period," Bayu said.
In addition to free consultations and health check-ups, travelers can also take advantage of a number of other services at the BPJS Kesehatan Homecoming Post, such as relaxation facilities, provision of basic medications, simple emergency medical procedures, and referrals if needed.
"Travelers who stop by the BPJS Kesehatan Homecoming Post can take advantage of these various services free of charge. Therefore, we urge travelers not to hesitate to stop by and take advantage of the services we have provided," Bayu explained.
During the Eid homecoming period, JKN participants can still access healthcare services even when they are outside their domicile area. With the JKN Program's portability principle, participants can still receive outpatient services at community health centers (Puskesmas), clinics, or other independent medical practices partnered with BPJS Kesehatan if the health facility where they are registered is closed or they are outside their area.
However, in emergency situations, participants can go directly to the nearest hospital without requiring a referral. Bayu said that information about healthcare facilities that remain operational during the Eid holiday period can be accessed through the JKN Mobile App.
"We also continue to strengthen synergies with healthcare facilities, including community health centers, clinics, independent medical practices, and hospitals, to ensure optimal service is provided during the Eid homecoming period. If JKN participants experience difficulties accessing healthcare services, BPJS Kesehatan also provides various complaint channels, such as the JKN Mobile App, Administrative Services via WhatsApp (PANDAWA) at 08118165165, and the BPJS Kesehatan Care Center 165," Bayu said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Shesilia Agnesti, a medical officer on duty at the BPJS Kesehatan Homecoming Post at the KM 166A Rest Area, reminded travelers to maintain their physical fitness before leaving and to prepare any necessary medications, especially if their health conditions require special medications.
"At this post, we stock medicines for common ailments, such as flu, coughs, migraines, fevers, and the like. Last year, near the peak of the homecoming season, hundreds of visitors came for treatment each day. Some children were brought home and then fell ill, and they usually left them behind. So, don't forget to double-check your medication before leaving," she advised.
Meanwhile, Adi Fauzi, Head of Human Resources at the Majalengka Police, stated that his office is ready to support the smooth flow of homecoming traffic this year, including by providing 24-hour on-call services at the Cipali KM 166A Rest Area.
"If anyone has a traffic accident, they can file a police report here. In principle, we won't complicate the process. In the mechanism for guaranteeing BPJS Kesehatan participants who have an accident, a police report must be submitted as an administrative requirement. For people returning home for Eid, most rest areas will be crowded. Don't forget to maintain security."
