Astra Readies Hundreds Workshops, Technicians for Eid Exodus
Jakarta. Astra has readied 299 vehicle workshops and 800 technicians for the upcoming Eid exodus.
These workshops and technicians will be available across Java island, Bali, and even Sumatra on April 5-14. This initiative is part of the so-called “2024 Astra Siaga Lebaran” initiative in which the company makes sure that people can travel safely and comfortably.
“We will set up posts along the Eid exodus routes in the Java island, Bali, and even reaching Sumatra. About 600 technicians that we deploy specialize in four-wheelers, while 205 others are mechanics for two-wheelers,” Astra’s director Johannes Loman said in Jakarta on Monday.
“These mechanics will be stationed in Tebing Tinggi, Palembang, Lampung, Merak, Cikampek, Purbaleunyi, Cipali, Palikanci, Brebes, Salatiga, Jombang, Probolinggo, and Tabanan,” Johannes said.
This year, Astra Siaga Lebaran will add 130 workshops for four-wheelers and 169 for two-wheelers spread throughout Indonesia. The workshops will operate at normal working hours during the Eid holidays. Astra has also readied 61 “Garda Siaga guards” on standby for 24 hours, and 66 emergency roadside assistance.
There will be a fleet of emergency services on the road for homecoming travelers, supported by the Garda Siaga Fleet from Astra Insurance and the AstraWorld Emergency Roadside Assistance Fleet for four-wheeled vehicles. Astra has also set up some posts that allow travelers to take a break during their journey. Food, beverages, and free WiFi are available in these posts.
The 2024 Astra Siaga Lebaran is a collaboration between Astra Group’s companies, namely: Astra Daihatsu, Auto2000, Astra Isuzu, BMW Astra, Astra Peugeot, Astra UD Trucks, Lexus Sales Operation, Garda Oto, FIF Group, Toyota Astra Financial Services, Astra Credit Companies (ACC), AstraPay, Astra Otopower, Astra Infra, Astra Honda Motor, Astra Motor, OLXMobbi, SEVA, and AstraWorld.
