Jakarta. State-owned fertilizer holding Pupuk Indonesia and its member companies have sent a total of 1,559 homebound travelers to their hometowns under the Free Homecoming Travel with SOEs 2026 program, themed “Mudik Nyaman Bersama Pupuk Indonesia.” Departures took place on March 17–18, 2026, from Jakarta and several other regions across Indonesia.

Pupuk Indonesia President Director, Rahmad Pribadi, said the annual program reflects the company’s commitment to supporting a safe and pleasant homecoming journey.

“This program is a tangible expression of our commitment and care. Pupuk Indonesia was established by the Republic of Indonesia not only to generate profit, but also to uphold a noble mission of supporting national food security and delivering value and benefits to the nation and the Indonesian people,” Rahmad said during the flag-off ceremony at Pupuk Indonesia’s headquarters in Jakarta.

The program was organized in collaboration with holding members, deploying a total of 31 buses and 12 minibuses or vans. Pupuk Indonesia itself dispatched five buses carrying 264 travelers from Jakarta to Solo via both northern and southern routes.

Meanwhile, Pupuk Kujang Cikampek sent six buses carrying 354 travelers from Cikampek to Kuningan, Tasikmalaya, and Pangandaran.

Pupuk Kalimantan Timur deployed 10 buses transporting 372 travelers across routes including Bontang-Balikpapan, Bontang-Banjarmasin, Bontang-Samarinda, Samarinda-Banjarmasin, and Balikpapan-Banjarmasin.

In Aceh Province, Pupuk Iskandar Muda dispatched 12 minibuses carrying 119 travelers across four routes: Krueng Geukueh–Banda Aceh, Krueng Geukueh–Aceh Selatan, Krueng Geukueh–Medan, and Krueng Geukueh–Kualanamu.

Lastly, Pupuk Sriwidjaja (Pusri) Palembang transported 250 travelers using five buses, serving routes including Palembang–Jakarta, Palembang–Serang, Palembang–Surabaya, Jakarta–Solo, and Jakarta–Yogyakarta.

The Mudik BUMN initiative is a collaborative program with the SOEs Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN) and sovereign wealth fund Danantara Indonesia. It aims to help the public return to their hometowns while reducing reliance on private vehicles that could worsen holiday traffic congestion.
