Pupuk Indonesia Expands MSME Market Access Through Kriyanusa 2026
Jakarta. State-owned fertilizer producer PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), in collaboration with the PIKA PI Group, is expanding promotional opportunities for its partner micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by participating in Kriyanusa 2026 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) from Sept. 26-30.
The event provides a platform for MSMEs in the traditional textile, fashion and handicraft sectors to showcase their products, connect directly with consumers and reach a wider market.
Pupuk Indonesia’s Director of Human Resources and General Affairs, Tina T. Kemala Intan, said the company’s participation reflects its support for the development of the creative economy. She said Kriyanusa offers partner MSMEs an opportunity not only to showcase their work but also to gain valuable experience interacting directly with the market.
“Pupuk Indonesia sees Kriyanusa as an exhibition that attracts a significant number of visitors, making it a valuable platform for expanding the market reach of products from our partner MSMEs, particularly in traditional textiles, fashion and accessories,” Tina said Monday (Sept. 28).
Pupuk Indonesia currently supports 3,387 MSMEs across Indonesia. Of these, 289 operate in traditional textiles and handicrafts across Aceh, Palembang, West Java, East Java and East Kalimantan.
At Kriyanusa 2026, 16 brands supported by Pupuk Indonesia are showcasing a range of traditional textile and handicraft products at the company’s booth. Each brings its own distinctive designs and cultural characteristics. This marks Pupuk Indonesia’s second participation in the event.
PIKA-PI Group Chairwoman Tata Rahmad Pribadi said the organization remains committed to supporting Pupuk Indonesia’s efforts to empower local MSMEs.
“PIKA-PI’s various programs and creative collaborations are designed to support the company’s objectives, including through the participation of our partner MSMEs at Kriyanusa. PIKA-PI also actively strengthens empowerment initiatives to support the sustainable growth of these MSMEs,” Tata said.
Beyond the exhibition booth, products from Pupuk Indonesia-supported MSMEs are also being showcased on the Kriyanusa 2026 fashion show runway.
Twenty traditional textile pieces from three selected MSMEs were featured in the “Lumbung Cahaya” fashion show, presenting the Svarna by IKAT Indonesia collection developed in collaboration with designer Didiet Maulana. The collection features songket, tenun bulu and Gedog batik in natural colors, symbolizing the fertility of the Indonesian archipelago and the promise of sustainable harvests.
The fashion show represents a collaboration between Pupuk Indonesia, the PIKA-PI Group and Didiet Maulana, demonstrating how traditional textiles produced by MSMEs can be transformed into value-added fashion products while preserving their cultural identity.
The runway also provides an opportunity to present Indonesia’s traditional textile heritage through a more contemporary and creative approach. Pupuk Indonesia hopes the collaboration will encourage MSMEs to continue innovating and developing products that can compete in broader markets.
Pupuk Indonesia and Didiet Maulana share a commitment to advancing Indonesian MSMEs, with the collaboration also supporting efforts to introduce Indonesian products and cultural heritage to international audiences.
The company continues to provide MSMEs with opportunities to strengthen their business capabilities through promotional events and market-development programs. Beyond exposure, participation in events such as Kriyanusa gives MSMEs opportunities to build networks and gain direct market experience.
These initiatives form part of Pupuk Indonesia’s broader commitment to supporting Indonesia’s economic growth, with MSMEs playing an important role in driving economic activity and creating inclusive opportunities.
“This activity is also part of Pupuk Indonesia’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly the pillar of economic growth. Support for MSMEs is expected to contribute to inclusive and sustainable economic growth,” Tina said.
