Inauguration of the Kompak Guyub Bahagia Creative Space: Pegadaian’s Commitment to Strategic Collaboration with the University of Indonesia
Jakarta. Pegadaian continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the educational ecosystem in Indonesia by launching the “Ruang Kreatif Pegadaian Kompak Guyub Bahagia” at the University of Indonesia (UI). This inauguration marks a tangible synergy between the industrial and academic worlds, aimed at fostering innovation among the younger generation.
The creative space was officially inaugurated by the Rector of the University of Indonesia, Prof. Heri Hermansyah, and the President Director of Pegadaian, Damar Latri Setiawan. The presence of this Creative Room is expected to act as a catalyst for the academic community at UI to think creatively, innovate, and collaborate.
The UI Creative Room is designed as an ecosystem that encourages the academic community to think outside the box, foster innovation, and engage in collaboration. Equipped with co-working spaces, discussion rooms, and supporting technology, this space is expected to serve as a hub where innovative ideas with broad social impact can be developed. In his remarks, Prof. Heri Hermansyah expressed his appreciation to Pegadaian and emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and industry.
Meanwhile, Damar Latri Setiawan affirmed that this Creative Room is part of Pegadaian’s commitment to supporting the pentahelix collaboration between Pegadaian and higher education institutions.
"The Creative Room we inaugurate today symbolizes the spirit of collaboration and sustainable creativity. It is from here that big ideas are expected to emerge, fresh insights can be cultivated, and the synergy between academia and the business world can be strengthened," he explained.
Through this initiative, Pegadaian is also contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) No. 4: Quality Education. The company hopes this Creative Room will become a platform for students to develop research projects, entrepreneurial ventures, and sustainable tech-based solutions.
The inauguration of the “Ruang Kreatif Pegadaian Kompak Guyub Bahagia” at UI adds to the network of The Gade Creative Lounge, which has been established in 22 universities across Indonesia. With this facility, Pegadaian aims further to strengthen the synergy between industry and higher education and inspire the academic community to become future innovators who can make a positive impact on society.
As a company that continues to adapt to changing times, Pegadaian positions itself not only as a financial institution but also as a strategic partner in building an innovative, inclusive, and sustainable educational ecosystem.
