Jakarta. PT Pegadaian (Persero) reaffirmed its commitment to improving community welfare by hosting a large-scale free circumcision program in 2026, providing healthcare services for 500 children from low-income families and communities living around its head office.

The event, titled Khitanan Massal 2026, was held at the Pegadaian Tower Ballroom on Monday, offering safe and quality medical services at no cost as part of the company’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program.

The initiative is aligned with Pegadaian’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework, with a strong focus on social impact, particularly in improving public health access. The program also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being.

Pegadaian said the activity reflects its broader commitment to inclusive community development and long-term social investment in children’s health as part of Indonesia’s future human capital.

Pegadaian Director of Network and Operations, Eka Pebriansyah, said the program demonstrates that the company’s role goes beyond business operations and financial services.

“This mass circumcision program is a continuation of Pegadaian’s sincere commitment to consistently bring real benefits to society,” Eka said. “As a company undergoing modernization, we want to ensure that ESG and TJSL are not just administrative requirements, but real actions that directly address the basic needs of underprivileged communities.”

He added that providing accessible healthcare services for children is an important long-term investment in Indonesia’s future generation.

The program was carried out through collaboration between Pegadaian, professional medical teams, implementation partners, and local government authorities, particularly the Senen District administration, which provided full support during the preparation phase.

Doctors and medical personnel ensured that all procedures were conducted under strict hygiene and safety standards, with child-friendly approaches to minimize discomfort and anxiety.

Pegadaian said the strong coordination between stakeholders helped ensure the smooth execution of the event while maximizing its social impact.

Through initiatives like this, the company aims to strengthen its contribution to community welfare and promote sustainable social development across Indonesia.
