Jakarta. PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (Chandra Asri Group), a leading provider of energy, chemical, and infrastructure solutions in Southeast Asia, has once again been awarded the prestigious PROPER Green rating for 2025 by the Ministry of Environment.

The recognition, granted under the government’s Corporate Performance Rating Program in Environmental Management (PROPER), highlights the company’s achievement in going beyond regulatory compliance in environmental stewardship. Chandra Asri Group received the PROPER Green rating for two of its key petrochemical facilities—Ciwandan and Pulo Ampel—underscoring its consistent commitment to responsible and sustainable operations.

This milestone reflects the company’s broader vision of delivering long-term value not only for its business but also for society and the environment. Through a wide range of sustainability initiatives, Chandra Asri Group continues to integrate environmental responsibility into its core operations. These efforts include energy efficiency technologies, renewable energy adoption, pollution control measures, water conservation, sustainable waste management, and biodiversity protection.

Beyond environmental impact, the company is equally focused on empowering communities around its operational areas. Its social programs are designed to create lasting benefits, supporting local capacity building and economic resilience.

Edi Rivai, Director of Legal, External Affairs, and Circular Economy at Chandra Asri Group, said the PROPER Green award reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainable environmental management.

“As a Growth Partner, we strive to create added value for all stakeholders, including communities around our operations. Through empowerment initiatives, we aim to enhance community capacity and independence while delivering sustainable environmental impact. Moving forward, we will continue strengthening collaboration to expand our positive contributions,” he said.

One of the company’s flagship initiatives is the development of the Lembur Mangrove Patikang eco-education tourism program in Pandeglang, Banten. Branded as “Rangkai Asri” (Circular and Innovative Actions for a Sustainable Environment), the program focuses on equipping local communities with skills to manage mangrove ecotourism while promoting sustainable waste practices.

As an industry player, Chandra Asri Group continues to advance its sustainability strategy by reducing the environmental footprint of its operations. This includes scaling up energy efficiency measures, increasing the use of renewable energy, enhancing water conservation, and protecting biodiversity.

Through these integrated efforts, Chandra Asri Group aims to balance business performance with environmental preservation and social well-being. Looking ahead, the company remains committed to strengthening partnerships with stakeholders to further expand its sustainable impact across Indonesia and the region.
