Jakarta. Chandra Asri Pacific, also known as Chandra Asri Group, through its subsidiary Chandra Pelabuhan Nusantara (CPN), officially signed a Port Business Entity Concession Agreement with the Banten Class I Port Authority and Harbormaster Office (KSOP) on Tuesday at the Transportation Ministry office in Jakarta.

The agreement marks part of the company’s efforts to strengthen port services and logistics connectivity to support national industrial needs, particularly in the petrochemical and manufacturing sectors.

CPN operates in port services and port facility management to support industrial and logistics activities nationwide. Through the concession, the company is expected to further improve integrated port services while supporting operational efficiency in industrial areas across Cilegon and surrounding regions.

“This milestone not only represents compliance with regulatory requirements and good port governance practices, but also marks an important step in strengthening the national logistics and industrial ecosystem, particularly in supporting the competitiveness of Indonesia’s petrochemical and manufacturing industries,” CPN President Director Edi Rivai said.

“Port infrastructure plays a vital role in maintaining the smooth flow of the national supply chain while supporting Indonesia’s economic growth. As industrial development continues to expand, the demand for reliable port services and logistics infrastructure will also continue to increase. CPN remains committed to prioritizing safe, reliable, and efficient port operations, while also opening opportunities for strategic collaborations that create added value for stakeholders,” Edi added.

Transportation Ministry Director General of Sea Transportation Muhammad Masyhud said the signing of the concession agreement represented a concrete step toward supporting national economic growth, particularly in Banten, while also providing legal and business certainty in port service operations.

“Cooperation and synergy between the government and private sector play an important role in addressing various future challenges, including resource management, technological innovation, and environmental sustainability. Through strong collaboration, the development of port services and infrastructure is expected to continue supporting the growth of the national industrial and logistics sectors,” Muhammad said.

Through the concession partnership, Chandra Pelabuhan Nusantara said it aims to further strengthen collaboration with the government in improving port service quality and national logistics connectivity.
