Chandra Asri Group Sees Free Float Increase to 25.7%
Jakarta. Chandra Asri Pacific (Chandra Asri Group) (IDX: TPIA) announced a shareholding rebalancing transaction by one of its long-term shareholders, SCG Chemicals Public Company Limited (SCGC).
The transaction is part of SCGC's capital allocation strategy, which includes deleveraging efforts and redirecting capital toward its core growth initiatives. Following the transaction, SCGC continues to hold approximately 15.71% of Chandra Asri Group's shares, maintaining its position as one of the company's key long-term shareholders.
As a result, Chandra Asri Group's public float has increased to around 25.7%, enhancing market liquidity and expanding access for a broader base of domestic and international investors. The higher free float also supports compliance with Indonesia's evolving capital market regulations, while strengthening the company's appeal to investors and supporting long-term value creation.
President Director and CEO of Chandra Asri Group, Erwin Ciputra, said the transaction does not alter the company's strategic direction or long-term growth plans. "SCGC has been a valued long-term shareholder and strategic partner of Chandra Asri Group. While this transaction reflects SCGC's capital allocation priorities, it does not change the company's strategic direction, governance, or commitment to delivering sustainable long-term growth," Erwin said.
"We remain focused on executing our rejuvenation and transition plans as we continue to strengthen our energy, chemicals, and infrastructure portfolio across Southeast Asia," he added.
The company emphasized that the transaction does not result in any material changes to Chandra Asri Group's ownership control, governance structure, management, or business operations.
Following the transaction, the company's three key long-term shareholders — Barito Pacific, SCGC, and Thai Oil Public Company Limited — collectively retain approximately 74.3% ownership in Chandra Asri Group, reflecting their continued commitment and confidence in the company's long-term prospects.
