Earthquake Hits Bali Again This Morning

Buleleng. A magnitude 2.5 earthquake struck Buleleng, Bali, on Wednesday. The Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) reported that the quake occurred at 11:26 a.m. Bali time.

The earthquake’s epicenter was located at 8.22 degrees south latitude and 114.87 degrees east longitude, about 27 kilometers southwest of Buleleng, Bali, at a depth of 11 kilometers.

This is the third earthquake to hit Bali in the past five days. Previously, Buleleng was struck by a magnitude 3.0 quake on Sept. 6, 2024.

The following day, on Sept. 7, a magnitude 4.9 earthquake affected Gianyar, Bali.

Tremors from today’s quake were felt in Gianyar, Tabanan, Badung, Denpasar, Klungkung, Mataram, and as far as West Lombok.
