Jakarta. Finance Ministry Secretary-General Robert Leonard Marbun was replaced on Friday after just seven months in office, as Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara reshuffled five senior officials in a move aimed at strengthening the ministry's organizational performance.

Robert, who took office on March 27 under then-Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, was succeeded by Astera Primanto Bhakti, previously the ministry's director general of treasury.

The reshuffle covered five senior positions: secretary-general, director general of treasury, director general of fiscal balance, and two ministerial advisory posts.

As the new secretary-general, Astera will oversee coordination across the ministry, including human resources, budgeting, organizational affairs, legal matters, communications, and asset management.

Suahasil said the leadership changes were part of the ministry's efforts to adapt to evolving organizational needs and improve its overall performance.

"I expect Astera, as secretary-general, to drive the entire Finance Ministry's organization, not just the unit he leads," Suahasil said.

Tri Budhianto was appointed director general of treasury, replacing Astera.

Meanwhile, Nufransa Wira Sakti was named director general of fiscal balance, with responsibility for improving the management of fiscal transfers to regional governments, a key component of financial relations between the central government and local administrations.

The reshuffle also included the appointment of Neilmaldrin Noor as expert staff member for tax oversight and Hidayat Amir as expert staff member for macroeconomics and international finance.

Neilmaldrin was tasked with strengthening tax supervision, while Hidayat was instructed to improve the ministry's analysis of global economic developments and international financial conditions.

"I ask all officials inaugurated today to immediately translate these directives into concrete actions, working together with the ministry's other senior units," Suahasil said.
