Indonesia Raises Rp 28.8 Trillion From Government Bond Auction
Jakarta. Indonesian government raised Rp 28.8 trillion ($1.61 billion) from a government bond auction on Monday, attracting Rp 42.87 trillion in total bids for nine series of government securities.
The Finance Ministry’s Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR) said the auction covered three newly issued short-term treasury bills and six fixed-rate bonds, including new issuance and reopenings of existing bonds.
The government raised Rp 10.5 trillion from the three treasury bills, which mature between October 2026 and September 2027. The awards comprised Rp 2.05 trillion for SPN01261031, Rp 4.05 trillion for SPN03261230 and Rp 4.4 trillion for SPN12270930.
The first two series carried weighted average yields of 6.45%, while the third offered 6.65%. The three securities attracted total bids of Rp 14.48 trillion.
Among the fixed-rate bonds, FR0110 drew the largest award, at Rp 9.55 trillion from Rp 12.95 trillion in bids. The reopened bonds carry a weighted average yield of 7.08979% and mature on May 15, 2032.
The government also raised Rp 4.6 trillion from FR0111, which matures in March 2037, and Rp 1.55 trillion from the newly issued FR0112, which matures in May 2042. Their weighted average yields stood at 7.24958% and 7.26967%, respectively.
For longer-dated bonds, the government awarded Rp 950 billion for FR0107, Rp 1.1 trillion for FR0102 and Rp 550 billion for FR0105. The three series mature in 2045, 2054 and 2064, respectively, with weighted average yields ranging from 7.288% to 7.29949%.
The results indicate that the government secured most of its funding from the shorter-dated treasury bills and the 2032 bond, while also raising funds through securities with maturities extending to 2064.
