Jakarta. Governor Pramono Anung announced on Wednesday that Jakarta’s provincial revenue had reached Rp 43.65 trillion ($2.7 billion) by the end of July, representing 56 percent of the city’s 2025 target of Rp 91.34 trillion ($5.6 billion).

At a press conference at City Hall, Pramono said regional spending had also shown steady progress, reaching Rp 30.95 trillion ($1.9 billion), or 37 percent of the budget. This leaves the capital with a surplus of Rp 14.67 trillion ($897.6 million).

“This reflects fairly healthy fiscal management, although we continue to encourage faster budget absorption so that the impact can be felt directly by the public,” the governor said.

Pramono also highlighted Jakarta’s macroeconomic indicators. The capital’s economy grew 5.18 percent in the first half of 2025, slightly above the national average of 5.12 percent. Meanwhile, inflation remained contained at 2.22 percent, signaling stable household purchasing power.

“Controlled inflation is the result of cross-sector collaboration, including food price stabilization and oversight of goods distribution,” said Pramono, who has been in office for six months.
