Jakarta Posts Rp 80 Trillion Revenue in 2025, Earns Clean Audit Opinion Again
Jakarta. The Jakarta administration generated Rp 80.03 trillion ($4.4 billion) in regional revenue in 2025, equivalent to 94.76% of its Rp 84.45 trillion target, Governor Pramono Anung said on Monday.
Regional government revenue is derived primarily from three sources: locally generated income such as taxes, levies, and profits from regionally owned enterprises; transfers from the central government; and other legally recognized revenue streams.
“Our locally generated revenue reached Rp 51.22 trillion ($2.8 billion), or 94.50% of the Rp 54.20 trillion target,” Pramono told lawmakers at the Jakarta Legislative Council complex.
The locally generated revenue consisted of Rp 43.98 trillion from regional taxes, Rp 1.53 trillion from levies, Rp 746.8 billion from the management of regional assets, and Rp 4.97 trillion from other legitimate local revenue sources.
Pramono presented the realization of Jakarta’s 2025 budget, covering revenue, expenditure, and financing components, which he said reflected sound fiscal management throughout the year.
“On the financing side, the Jakarta administration allocated Rp 5.44 trillion for capital injections into regional-owned enterprises, including Jakarta Propertindo and MRT Jakarta,” he said.
The capital injections were aimed at supporting infrastructure development, public services, and strategic projects managed by the city’s state-owned enterprises.
Jakarta also recorded a budget surplus balance of Rp 5.82 trillion at the end of the 2025 fiscal year.
In addition, Pramono announced that the capital city had once again received an unqualified opinion from the Supreme Audit Agency for its 2025 financial statements. The designation is the highest audit rating awarded to government entities and indicates that financial statements are presented fairly in accordance with government accounting standards.
