Jakarta. Astra Otoparts (AUTO) said on Wednesday that its chief executive and chief commissioner had resigned, shortly after the company posted its highest annual profit on record.

The automotive components manufacturer, part of the Astra Group conglomerate, said it had received resignation letters from President Director Hamdani Dzulkarnaen Salim and President Commissioner Gidion Hasan, both dated March 18, 2026.

The company did not disclose the reasons for the departures.

Gidion has served as president commissioner since April 2019 and has been a director at Astra International (ASII) since 2015. Hamdani has been president director since 2013, having previously served as vice president director of Astra Otoparts.

Astra Otoparts reported a record net profit of Rp 2.21 trillion ($131 million) last year, up 8.4% year on year. Revenue rose 4.4% to Rp 19.91 trillion ($1.18 billion), marking a fourth consecutive year of record earnings.

According to the company’s latest financial report, its manufacturing segment generated Rp 10.57 trillion in net revenue in 2025, up 4.2% from the previous year.

As part of the industry’s shift toward electrification, Astra Otoparts has expanded production of electric vehicle (EV) components, including auxiliary batteries, hybrid dampers, inverter and motor cooling hoses, and battery cases, while also developing EV charging products.

The company is also diversifying into non-automotive sectors such as medical devices, heavy equipment components, and other industrial segments to build new growth drivers and strengthen its long-term business structure.

Meanwhile, the trading segment recorded Rp 9.34 trillion in net revenue in 2025, up 4.5% from a year earlier. Growth was driven by a stronger domestic market, new product launches, continued retail network expansion, and solid export performance.

Astra Otoparts’ distribution network is supported by 49 main dealers and 27 sales offices, serving around 15,000 spare parts outlets nationwide.

As of end-2025, the company operated 654 retail outlets — including Astra Otoservice, Super Shop & Drive, Shop & Drive, Shop & Bike, and Motoquick — up from 603 outlets a year earlier.
