Astra Crowns 12 Winners of Astranauts 2026 Digital Innovation Competition
Jakarta. Astra has named 12 winners of its annual digital innovation competition and technology conference, Astranauts 2026, following a series of selection, mentoring, and evaluation stages. Announced at the Awarding & Astranauts Conference 2026 on July 28, the winners were recognized for delivering digital solutions that can accelerate business transformation, improve operational efficiency, and create added value across industries in Indonesia.
Divided into the Product Track and Idea Track categories, this year's competition carried the theme "ACCELERATE 2026: From Pilot to Business Transformation, Boosting Efficiency and Unlocking New Value." Now in its fifth edition, Astranauts underscores Astra's commitment to developing digital solutions that go beyond innovative ideas to address real business challenges and improve operational performance across industries.
I Wayan Wisnu Anantawijaya, Division Head of Academy, Technology, & New Venture at Astra, said the primary focus of this year's Astranauts was accelerating business impact.
"We are more focused on ensuring that the solutions developed here can truly be implemented at a business scale and deliver tangible value to our business units across the Astra Group," Wisnu said.
Finalists presented a range of advanced technology solutions tailored to address operational challenges across Astra's businesses, including mining, financial services, automotive, and logistics.
Wisnu said several participants applied computer vision technology in the mining sector to improve the speed and accuracy of identifying business opportunities, while also developing predictive maintenance systems.
"Most of the innovations submitted involve predictive maintenance and practical solutions that can be directly implemented based on business needs. Some are designed for the mining sector, while others are intended for FIFGROUP's financial services business and UD Trucks' fleet maintenance," he said.
Wisnu added that Astranauts has become a strategic platform for Astra to source innovative solutions through an open approach, allowing the company to tap into external technologies beyond its internal research and development efforts.
"We do not want to overlook the rapid pace of technological change and innovation happening outside the company. Through Astranauts, we are opening opportunities for relevant external solutions that we may not have explored previously, so we can test and integrate them together with the finalists," Wisnu said.
Astranauts 2026 featured Business Challenges initiated by five Astra Group companies: Astra Honda Motor (AHM), Federal International Finance (FIFGROUP), Kalimantan Prima Persada (KPP Mining), Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA), and Astra International – UD Trucks Sales Operation (Astra UD Trucks). The competition also included a Cross-Industry Challenge to identify innovative digital solutions across various strategic sectors.
In addition to cash prizes, the winners will have the opportunity to explore direct collaboration with the Astra Group to further develop their digital solutions. Winners in the Idea Track category will also receive exclusive access to join the Astra Career Community.
