Astra Launches Go Walking Community to Promote Healthy Workplace Culture
Jakarta. Astra continues to promote a healthy workplace lifestyle through initiatives involving its employees, known as Insan Astra. This commitment was marked by the launch of the Astra Go Walking community, aimed at encouraging walking habits amid daily activities.
The community was officially introduced on Sunday during Car Free Day in Jakarta, involving more than 100 Insan Astra, including advisors, supervisors, management, and employees from across Astra Group entities. Participants completed a 4.8-kilometer route from Menara Astra to the Semanggi area and back, symbolizing a collective step toward a healthier lifestyle within the group.
“Astra Go Walking is expected to serve as a platform that not only encourages physical activity but also strengthens interaction and togetherness among Insan Astra. Through this community, various activities such as group walks, health education, and other collaborative initiatives are expected to deliver sustainable benefits. Going forward, Astra Go Walking is expected to grow into an active and consistent community in promoting a healthy lifestyle, while also becoming part of Astra’s efforts to create a productive and harmonious work environment for all Insan Astra,” said Boy Kelana Soebroto.
The Astra Go Walking community was formed from a simple idea to build an accessible healthy lifestyle. Walking, as an activity that can be easily done by anyone and integrated into daily routines, serves as the starting point for fostering active habits within Astra Group. The initiative has gained support from employees across various Astra companies, leading to the formation of a cross-entity management team. It complements other sports communities within the group, including Astra Runners.
During the launch, Astra Go Walking also introduced its visual identity through a new logo reflecting three core values: unity, movement, and shared purpose.
The collaborative spirit within Astra Group was also reflected through support from its healthcare-related business units. Heartology hosted a health talk session on the benefits of walking, while Halodoc provided medical check-up services. Asuransi Astra offered personal accident coverage for participants, and Senantiasa Makmur, a subsidiary of Astra Otoparts, supported the event with BMI check services.
Astra’s push to promote a healthy lifestyle through Astra Go Walking aligns with its broader vision of Prospering with the Nation and supports Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
