United Tractors Marks 53 Years of Building the Nation
Jakarta. United Tractors, the heavy equipment subsidiary of the conglomerate Astra, is marking 53 years of operating in Indonesia.
United Tractors, also known by its acronym UT, recently held a nationwide 53rd anniversary celebration across all its branches and sites. UT’s president director Frans Kesuma also thanked all employees, partners, customers, the government, and principals who have been an important part of the company's journey.
"Throughout its 53-year journey, UT has consistently upheld commitment, collaboration, and synergy to achieve shared success and sustainability. In line with our roadmap, UT is committed to transitioning its business portfolio toward a more sustainable future by strengthening its foundation through enhanced operational excellence across all business lines," Frans was quoted as saying in a press statement.
This long journey has shaped UT's character as an agile and adaptive organization in the face of change. UT's success in maintaining sustainable growth is inseparable from the synergy between all stakeholders and the hard work of UT Group employees across various business lines.
UT now operates five core business pillars, namely construction machinery, mining contractors, mining, construction industry, and energy. The company continues to strengthen its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles as the foundation for sustainable business development. UT is also exploring opportunities in new sectors such as minerals and renewable energy.
UT's 53rd anniversary celebrations included various activities that fostered stakeholder engagement and togetherness, including the UT Sports and Arts Week (Porse UT). This event provided a platform for UT employees to strengthen the SOLUTION culture (Serve, Organized, Leading, Uniqueness, Totality, Innovative, Open-minded, Networking), which is a core value in every aspect of the company.
The anniversary event also included an awarding ceremony for the Best Employee Championship (BEC), as well as the Adibrata Award for employee innovations. UT also had the SOBAT competition for its fostered schools.
The company remains committed to providing the best service to its customers while having a positive impact on the environment and society, according to Frans.
