Jakarta. Tens of thousands of people in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, were beaming with excitement when Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka attended the Onward Indonesia concert earlier this week.

This marked Prabowo-Gibran’s second visit to the province during their campaign period. It was just not the Sumatran supporters in the audience. Some attendees even came from Java. The audience immediately cheered his name. The crowd even asked Prabowo to show his gemoy or “adorable” dance moves. 

In his speech, Prabowo said that the support from the North Sumatra people would determine where Indonesia would be heading.

“Thank you for the warm welcome! Thank you to the North Sumatra people who have waited for hours under the sun,” Prabowo told the crowd.

“I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the North Sumatra people. Please give your support and mandate to Prabowo-Gibran, as well as the Onward Indonesia coalition, to build this country, the Indonesia that we love,” Prabowo said.

Indonesia's presidential election is slated to take place on Feb. 14.
