Jakarta. Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto recently said that he would not hesitate to carry on President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo’s programs should he win the upcoming election.

“We will not hold back and hesitate. We, Prabowo-Gibran and the Onward Indonesia Coalition will continue all Mr. Jokowi’s programs,” Prabowo said in a campaign rally event in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, on Wednesday.

“We will improve what needs to be improved. Are we satisfied yet? No. There are still so many things that we need to do,” Prabowo said.

He added: “To all the young people out there, you have a bright future ahead of you! We will build the bridge for you towards a great and prosperous Indonesia.”

Prabowo told the crowd the Onward Indonesia coalition had already come up with strategies towards that goal.

“The purpose of being independent is for the people to live a prosperous life,” Prabowo said.

“This means that people who are sick can go to hospitals. Medicines and doctors are available. There are schools for children to go to. If people need jobs, they have access to well-paying jobs, not a minimum wage job,” Prabowo said.

He then reminded his supporters to vote on Feb. 14.

“We will soon determine Indonesia’s future. This is not just for the next 5 years. But [our decision will also affect] the next 15-20 years, or even 30 years,” Prabowo said.
