Jakarta. As part of its ongoing Health History Screening program, BPJS Kesehatan has begun sending official WhatsApp messages to National Health Insurance (JKN) participants, encouraging those identified with potential health risks to consult a doctor at their designated primary healthcare facility.

The WhatsApp notification informs participants that follow-up consultations can be carried out either in person or through teleconsultation services. Participants are directed to consult through the Mobile JKN app (Tele Health feature) or through available communication channels such as WhatsApp or telephone. The goal is to ensure participants receive timely medical guidance and further examinations when needed.

BPJS Kesehatan Head of Public Relations, Rizzky Anugerah, said the initiative reflects the institution’s commitment to early detection and strengthened promotive and preventive healthcare services.

“The WhatsApp blast is intended to help participants understand their health conditions as early as possible. We encourage them to respond to the message by consulting their registered healthcare facility,” Rizzky said.

He added that participants should not be concerned about misinformation. The agency reminded recipients not to disregard these notifications and to take the necessary follow-up action to ensure proper health monitoring.

“All WhatsApp blasts are sent using the official BPJS Kesehatan number 0852-1818-1722, which appears as ‘BPJS Kesehatan,’” Rizzky said.

Rizzky also encouraged participants who have not yet completed the Health History Screening to do so, noting that the process is simple and can be carried out at any time — even when the participant is not seeking medical treatment. The screening only needs to be completed once a year and consists of a short questionnaire about personal and family medical history and lifestyle.

The questionnaire can be filled out through the Mobile JKN app, the BPJS Kesehatan website, the Pandawa WhatsApp service, or with assistance from staff at community health centers (Puskesmas), clinics, or private medical practices.

“Participants who have installed the Mobile JKN app will automatically receive a screening notification, or they may proactively access the Health History Screening feature,” Rizzky added.

In closing, Rizzky reminded all participants to maintain healthy lifestyles — including a balanced diet, regular physical activity, sufficient rest, and avoiding smoking. Participants were also encouraged to ensure their monthly premium payments remain up to date so that their membership stays active and uninterrupted access to BPJS-covered healthcare services is maintained.
