Jakarta. Presidential hopeful Prabowo Subianto recently pledged to help fishermen and farmers live a more prosperous life.

Prabowo met with thousands of Pontianak locals in Qubu Resort, West Kalimantan, on Saturday. He also laid out what he planned on doing should he win the upcoming election. One of his flagship initiatives is providing free and nutritious lunches as a means to improve Indonesian children’s nutrition. According to Prabowo, farmers and fishermen play a major role in this program, but many of them still live in poverty. Prabowo said that the nutrition program could help farmers and fishermen live better lives.

“We promise to work towards creating better lives for all of our farmers and fishermen,” Prabowo said.

“That is why we have a program to provide nutritious lunches for all Indonesian kids,” he said, while also pledging to dedicate his life to serving the people.
