Jakarta. Wahyuni Maharani, a female ride-hailing driver, recently declared her support for presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto.

Wahyuni was attending a gathering of Ojolet drivers in Jakarta on Friday. She got the opportunity to come up to the stage to speak to Prabowo in person. On stage, Wahyuni told Prabowo that she found him an inspirational person.

“I’m a driver. I have 2 children and I brought them here. Thank you for the invite. I’m grateful that you are a wonderful and sincere leader, and you don't mind where I come from,” Wahyuni said.

“Hopefully, you [Mr. Prabowo] will be our leader even though you don't know us. I wish you great health so you can lead Indonesia. You have great patience. You are amazing and strong,” Wahyuni said.

On behalf of the other drivers, Wahyuni also handed over small handwritten notes in a frame. These notes had the drivers’ messages and wishes for Prabowo.
