Chandra Asri Group’s Circular Economy Practices Earn Recognition
Jakarta. A leading provider of energy, infrastructure, and chemical solutions Chandra Asri Group is ramping up its circular economy practices -- an effort that continues to gain recognition.
The company recently awarded the 2025 Indonesia Circular Economy Award (ICEA) for 120,8 KM plastic asphalt implementation, and steam-to-flare optimalization, as part of energy efficiency effort for production facilities.
Chandra Asri Group’s steam-to-flare initiative has enabled the company to increase energy efficiency and reduce emissions at its production facilities. This innovation earned Chandra Asri a Gold Award in the Micro Category at the 2025 ICEA 2025, reflecting its commitment to energy efficiency and operational sustainability.
Chandra Asri Group has helped turn over 144.8 million low-value plastic bags into materials for asphalt roads. This is also a joint effort involving the Public Works Ministry, local governments, academia, recyclers, and construction partners. Under this program, Chandra Asri has constructed asphalt roads that span a whopping 120.8 kilometers. This collaborative approach earned Chandra Asri Group a Platinum Award in the Macro Category at ICEA 2025 as part of the waste management ecosystem. According to Chandra Asri, the plastic asphalt is superior in quality compared to the conventional ones.
Chandra Asri Group seeks to be #YourGrowthPartner. The company prioritizes partnerships be it internal or outside the company to achieve a broader impact. The company aims to help unlock a more sustainable future for Indonesia.
