Chandra Asri Group to Create 1,000 Jobs in Indonesia by 2028
Jakarta. Chandra Asri Group is set to create more than 1,000 new job opportunities in Indonesia progressively through 2028 as the company expands its business portfolio and strengthens its operations and human capital capabilities.
The job opportunities will span various fields and functions, supporting the Group’s growing businesses in Indonesia and across the region.
The development is part of Chandra Asri Group’s broader business transformation, with its portfolio now organized around three pillars: Energy & Chemicals, Integrated Infrastructure, and Mobility Solutions.
Growth across these business lines, including the development of industrial facilities, operational expansion, regional business development, and the strengthening of support functions, is driving demand for Indonesian talent with diverse skills and experience.
Director of Human Resources and Corporate Affairs Suryandi said the Group’s transformation is creating opportunities not only for business growth but also for talent development.
“The transformation of Chandra Asri Group is not only driving the development of our business and portfolio, but also the capabilities that support them. As the Group expands across the region, we see Indonesia continuing to play an important role as a talent and capability base that supports our business growth. Therefore, strengthening our organization and developing talent in Indonesia are important parts of our journey.”
The demand for talent comes alongside the development of various Chandra Asri Group business lines.
In the Energy & Chemicals segment, the development of the Chlor Alkali-Ethylene Dichloride (CA-EDC) facility in Cilegon, Banten, is part of the Group’s efforts to strengthen its operational capabilities. As preparations progress toward the operational stage, the facility will require workers to support production activities and various other functions.
Amid its regional expansion, Chandra Asri Group is also strengthening capabilities based in Indonesia. Chandra Asri Sentral Solusi (CASS), which began operations in January 2026, serves as a shared service center supporting the Group’s operations.
CASS has also supported the operations of Aster Chemicals & Energy Pte. Ltd. (Aster) in Singapore, giving Indonesian talent opportunities to gain experience working with cross-border business requirements, processes, and standards.
The shared service center will continue to require Indonesian talent as the Group develops its mobility solutions business in Singapore and Malaysia. The development highlights how regional business expansion is also contributing to the strengthening of talent and support functions in Indonesia.
Overall, the creation of more than 1,000 job opportunities reflects how Chandra Asri Group’s transformation and portfolio expansion are opening opportunities for Indonesian talent across a wide range of functions.
These include technical and operational roles, as well as commercial, digital, finance, human resources, procurement, customer operations, and other supporting functions.
“As our business grows and our portfolio becomes increasingly diverse, our talent needs are evolving as well. For Chandra Asri Group, Indonesia remains an important part of this journey,” Suryandi said.
“We want the growth of our business to go hand in hand with the development of talent and capabilities in Indonesia, while providing Indonesian professionals with opportunities to contribute to the Group’s growing businesses both in Indonesia and across the region,” he concluded.
