BPJS Kesehatan Introduces AI-Powered JKN Assistant to Simplify Healthcare Access
Kediri. Access to healthcare services has become increasingly convenient for participants of the National Health Insurance Program (JKN), thanks to the latest innovation available in the Mobile JKN Application. One of the newest features now accessible to participants is the JKN Assistant, which further simplifies interaction with state insurer BPJS Kesehatan services.
This innovation has been directly experienced by Cahya Gita Mahrani, 18, a JKN participant from Slumbung Village, Ngadiluwih District, Kediri Regency. Gita has been using the Mobile JKN Application since she first registered as a participant, and she revealed that the features within the app have greatly helped her in accessing various healthcare services more practically.
“I have been using the Mobile JKN Application for quite a long time. Initially, I downloaded it for registration purposes. Since then, I have routinely used it to display my digital card, check my membership status, and monitor my contributions,” said Gita when met at her home on Tuesday, Aug.19.
Gita also shared her positive experience using the JKN Assistant via the Mobile JKN Application. Supported by Large Language Model technology, this feature provides responses that are faster, more natural, and interactive.
“This new feature represents an effort to digitize services, making it easier for JKN participants to access information more quickly and efficiently. For me personally, this feature is very helpful, especially when I need information related to the JKN Program. I can access it anytime and anywhere without leaving the app,” Gita explained.
The JKN Assistant allows participants to directly interact with an intelligent digital assistant ready to provide fast and accurate answers. This digital assistant is particularly useful for those who are accustomed to digital technology, such as younger generations.
Gita added that the application offers three JKN Assistant options: Keira, Kenzo, and Vira. Each assistant is designed to answer various questions related to the JKN Program.
“I tried using one of the digital assistants, Keira, to ask whether I could access the nearest healthcare facility when I was out of town. The response was very quick and clear, not only in text but also in voice. Keira read the information out loud clearly, so I could immediately get assistance without waiting long,” Gita added.
In addition, Gita expressed her appreciation for BPJS Kesehatan's digitalization efforts, which are not limited to the Mobile JKN Application but have also expanded to various other digital platforms, such as the Administrative Services via WhatsApp (PANDAWA) at number 08118165165. Pandawa has become a very practical choice, especially for participants with busy schedules who find it difficult to visit BPJS Kesehatan offices in person.
“Besides using Mobile JKN, I also once used Pandawa to obtain information regarding complaints. I simply sent a message via WhatsApp to report an issue or ask about things I needed. The response was very fast, and I didn’t have to bother going to the BPJS Kesehatan office to resolve my problem,” Gita explained.
Gita hopes that more JKN participants, especially young people, will take advantage of this application so they can experience the same convenience. With continuous technological advancement, access to healthcare services is becoming easier and faster.
“I have already recommended this app to my friends. Even when gathering with family, I often help them download and guide them to log in through Mobile JKN. Everyone feels very assisted by the presence of this application,” Gita concluded.
