Jakarta. The Attorney General’s Office recovered Rp 19.6 trillion ($1.2 billion) in state assets in 2025 from corruption and other financial crime cases that have received final and binding court rulings, an official said on Wednesday.

Attorney General’s Office spokesperson Anang Supriatna said the figure was calculated based on assets seized from cases with final verdicts, underscoring the government’s intensified efforts to claw back losses caused by corruption.

According to Anang, asset recovery was carried out through multiple mechanisms, including auctions and direct sales of confiscated assets, grants, cash deposits, and the settlement of court-ordered compensation payments.

The largest contribution came from compensation payments, which totaled Rp 18.6 trillion. Cash deposits amounted to Rp 424.8 billion, while proceeds from auctions and direct sales reached Rp 305.1 billion. Grants accounted for Rp 232.9 billion, he said.

In the same briefing, Anang also reported that non-tax state revenue (PNBP) generated by the Attorney General’s Office in 2025 reached Rp 19.8 trillion, far exceeding the initial target of Rp 2.7 trillion.

“This achievement represents 733% of the target set and reflects cumulative contributions from all regions across Indonesia,” Anang said.

He added that the results demonstrate the prosecution service’s growing role not only in law enforcement, but also in supporting state finances through asset recovery and improved execution of court rulings.
