Gerindra Holds National Leadership Meeting to Support Prabowo-Gibran Administration
Jakarta. Gerindra Party's National Leadership Meeting began Friday at President-elect and chairman Prabowo Subianto's residence in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java. The closed-door meeting is focused on ensuring the success of the incoming Prabowo-Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration.
According to Secretary General Ahmad Muzani, the Rapimnas is the party's highest decision-making forum after the congress. "The meeting is an internal forum used for party consolidation and internal development," Muzani stated on Friday.
He explained that the meeting serves as a platform for unifying the entire structure of the Gerindra Party in preparation for the Prabowo-Gibran administration, which is set to be inaugurated on Oct. 20.
"The Prabowo-Gibran program is aimed at the welfare and benefit of the people. Prabowo recognizes this as a long and tireless struggle by all levels of Gerindra, and he felt it was necessary to express his gratitude to everyone. That's why we are holding this National Leadership Meeting," Muzani elaborated.
The leadership meeting is scheduled to last two days, from Aug. 30 to 31, and will conclude with a closing ceremony at the Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) complex in Senayan, Jakarta, presided over by President Joko Widodo.
