Astra International to Distribute Rp 17.04 Trillion Dividend on May 30
Jakarta. Diversified conglomerate Astra International will distribute dividends amounting to Rp 17.04 trillion ($1.04 billion) or around Rp 421 per share on May 30.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of shareholders for 2024 on Tuesday approved the use of the company's consolidated net profit for the fiscal year ending on December 31, 2023, amounting to Rp 33.84 trillion.
Of this amount, Rp 21.01 trillion, equivalent to 62 percent of the company’s net profit in 2023, or Rp 519 per share, will be distributed as cash dividends, which includes an interim dividend of Rp 98. Previously, a total of Rp 3.97 trillion was disbursed on October 31, 2023. The remaining Rp 17.04 trillion, or Rp 421 per share, will be disbursed on May 30 to the company's shareholders whose names are listed in the company's shareholders' list on May 15.
"The remaining Rp 12.83 trillion is booked as the company's retained earnings," stated Astra's President Director, Djony Bunarto Tjondro, during a press conference on Tuesday.
Additionally, during the AGM, Astra accepted the resignation of Mr. Johannes Loman as the company's Director and appointed former finance minister Bambang Permadi Soemantri Brodjonegoro as an Independent Commissioner of the Company. Moreover, Astra appointed Hsu Hai Yeh as a Commissioner of the Company, Rudy as the Company's Director, and Thomas Junaidi Alim. W as the Company's Director.
