Jakarta. Astra International is showcasing export-ready products from local communities and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) at Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2026, held from Oct. 14 to 18 at Hall 3A of the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD in Tangerang, Banten. The products are displayed at both Astra’s booth and the Trade Ministry’s Desa BISA Ekspor (DBE) booth.

The initiative is part of Astra’s ongoing efforts to help Indonesian MSMEs prepare to enter international markets through business development, training and mentoring. One of its programs is Desa Sejahtera Astra Export Champion, conducted in collaboration with the Trade Ministry and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). The program provides support through several stages, including product curation, export training, preparation, business pitching and business matching.

“Astra believes that MSMEs play an important role in driving Indonesia’s economic growth, including by expanding their presence in export markets. Therefore, Astra continues to support MSME development so businesses can access broader growth opportunities while delivering sustainable benefits to communities,” said Boy Gemino Kalauserang, executive in charge at Astra.

At TEI 2026, Astra is presenting products from communities across Indonesia under its Desa Sejahtera Astra program, as well as MSMEs supported by the Astra Foundation, the Dharma Bhakti Astra Foundation (YDBA) and Astra Group.

Astra first participated in TEI in 2018 as part of the Road to Dubai Expo 2020 program, with its involvement continuing to expand in subsequent years. For four consecutive years since 2022, Astra has involved more than 50 businesses, including MSMEs and Desa Sejahtera Astra communities.

Through these participations, the supported businesses have recorded combined contract and transaction values exceeding $24.29 million, equivalent to approximately Rp 400 billion. Buyers have come from various countries, including the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, Nigeria, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Japan and Australia.

Towards 70 Years of Astra
Astra’s commitment to benefiting communities is reflected in initiatives aimed at strengthening local capacities and promoting self-reliance across Indonesia. These efforts form part of the company’s journey toward its 70th anniversary on Feb. 20, 2027, under the theme “Berkarya dan Tumbuh Bersama Indonesia” (Creating and Growing Together with Indonesia).

Nearly seven decades of operations have reflected not only Astra’s corporate growth but also its continued efforts to contribute to Indonesia. To date, at least 16 million people have benefited from Astra’s initiatives across the country.

Through its Desa Sejahtera Astra program, the company has reached more than 1,500 villages across 35 provinces, supporting community development in health, education, the environment and entrepreneurship.

Through Desa Sejahtera Astra and the Astra Foundation, Astra continues to pursue its commitment to creating and growing alongside Indonesia. These initiatives align with the company’s aspiration to prosper together with the nation and support Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
