Jakarta. Presidential hopeful Prabowo Subianto said Saturday that he would dedicate his life to serving the people.

Prabowo made the statement in front of thousands of Banjarbaru locals in South Kalimantan. The candidate told the crowd that he had lived a blessed life, and he wanted to do more for the people in return.

“God has been good with me. God has granted me many blessings,” Prabowo told his supporters in the Rudy Resnawan sports complex.

“I will work hard and continue to fight. I dedicate the rest of my life to serving the Indonesian people,” Prabowo said.

His remarks were met with loud cheers. Earlier that day, Prabowo also met with Pontianak locals in West Kalimantan. Prabowo at the time said that Indonesia should manage its abundant natural resources well. However, the people should also enjoy the fruits of the natural resources.

“We vow to not only safeguard but also manage the abundant [natural resources] as best possible so we can help people live better lives,” Prabowo said.
