Prabowo-Gibran’s Electability in East Java Reaches 60.1 Pct: Poll

Jakarta. The electability rate of presidential pairing Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka stood at 60.1 percent in East Java, according to a recent poll by Poltracking Indonesia.

The Poltracking survey, which took place on January 25-31, showed that Ganjar-Mahfud came in second with a 17.2 percent electability rate. About 14.9 percent of the surveyed voters in East Java said they would vote for Anies-Muhaimin. 

“Prabowo Subianto’s electability rate trend has continued to grow since June 2023. We witnessed a significant growth from September 2023 to January 2024 [of 19.5 percent]. Prabowo was already set to pick Gibran as his running mate over the said period,” Poltracking Indonesia Survey.

The survey revealed that Anies-Muhaimin’s electability rate was stable. while that of Ganjar-Mahfud declined. Prabowo and Gibran are also popular among voters in Arek, Mataraman, Tapal Kuda, and Pantura. Prabowo and Anies were competing against one another among the surveyed Madura voters.

Poltracking Indonesia held its polls in 11 electoral districts in East Java with about 8,000 respondents.
