Jakarta. Vice presidential candidate Gibran Rakabuming made his appearance on another televised debate on Sunday evening.

But Gibran, who is Prabowo Subianto’s running mate, said he did not prepare much ahead of the debate and was focusing on getting enough rest.

“There were no special preparations. I was just getting tons of rest,” Gibran said as he entered the debate arena.

Prabowo also said he did not give much special advice to Gibran. The presidential hopeful added: “There is no need for tips whatsoever. I think he [Gibran] already knows the [debate theme] well.”

All of his supporters wore a jacket that carried the name “Samsul”. East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa was among the supporters in the crowd.

When asked about the preparations for the grand campaign rally that would take place just ahead of the Feb. 14 election, Gibran chose to remain calm and collected.

“We can do this. No worries. We will ramp up our [campaign] next week,” Gibran, who wore a pin from the anime series One Piece, said.

Sunday’s debate focused on sustainable development, natural resources, environment, energy, food, agrarian reforms, indigenous people, and villages.
