Galeri 24 Serves Custom Jewelry and Gold Bar Orders
Jakarta. Galeri 24, the subsidiary of the pawnshop Pegadaian, now serves orders for customized jewelry and gold bars.
“It is suitable for people who wish to give precious metals as a gift. They can order the silhouette of their loved ones’ faces on the metal. Galeri 24 promises to deliver the best possible quality of work just like how the customers want,” Basuki Tri Andayani, the director of operations for Pegadaian Medan, when launching the Galeri 24 gold bazaar in Medan.
The launch was part of the Smart & Gold Fest which started on Oct. 28 and would go on until Nov. 3. Galeri 24 showcases its jewelry products and offers customers discounts at this festival. Visitors can also have their jewelry cleaned for free.
Galeri 24 produces and sells gold be it in the form of jewelry or gold bars. It has workshops in Jakarta, and supplies 84 outlets across the archipelago. Pegadaian encourages people to invest in gold using its services. Galeri 24 serves gold purchases made using cash payments. Pegadaian, on the other hand, serves gold purchases made in installments and savings.
“Anyone can access our gold savings. Just by saving tens of thousands of Rupiahs, we can get gold. A 24-carat gold now costs around Rp 1.5 million [around $95.86] per gram. Just by saving Rp 15,000, we can get 0.01 gold,” Basuki said.
