Jakarta. Presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto and his running mate, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, have emerged victorious in all provinces across Java, home to more than 60 percent of the national population, according to provincial tallies certified on Tuesday.

The duo exhibited strong performance in Central Java and Bali, traditional strongholds of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), which had nominated former Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo for the Feb. 14 presidential election.

Their narrowest victory margin was in Jakarta, where Prabowo secured victory by fewer than 40,000 votes over former Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

However, Prabowo achieved a decisive lead in East Java, contributing significantly to his overall victory with a massive lead of more than 12 million votes in the province.
