Jakarta. The presidential campaign of Ganjar Pranowo and his running mate Mohammad Mahfud MD raised Rp 506.89 billion ($32.5 million) and spent roughly the same amount until election day, the General Election Commission (KPU) announced on Thursday.

This amount surpasses the campaign fund collected and spent by rival candidate and projected winner Prabowo Subianto, who teamed up with Gibran Rakabuming Raka, the eldest son of President Joko Widodo.

The Prabowo campaign raised Rp 208.2 billion and spent Rp 207.58 billion during the campaign season, according to KPU Commissioner Idham Kholik.

As part of mandatory financial disclosure by all candidates, the information has been posted on the KPU website. Additionally, presidential candidate Anies Baswedan and his ticket mate Muhaimin Iskandar accumulated Rp 49.34 billion in campaign funds and left less than Rp 1 million in the balance, according to Idham.

All candidates were obligated to submit their financial disclosures to a KPU-appointed public accountant firm by February 29.

"These financial disclosures must encompass reports on all revenue and spending related to campaign activities,” Idham said.
