Jakarta. The General Election Commission (KPU) has invited all three pairs of presidential and vice-presidential candidates to attend the declaration ceremony of Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming as the elected president and vice-president, scheduled for Wednesday.

"We have invited all of them," said KPU Commissioner August Mellaz at the KPU office in Jakarta on Tuesday.

However, August revealed that they have not received confirmation of attendance from the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mohammad Mahfud MD pairs.

"We hope all pairs can attend this event," he added.

In addition to the three pairs, the KPU has also invited state institution leaders, as well as the chairpersons and secretaries-general of political parties involved in the 2024 Presidential Election.

According to August, based on Article 4 of KPU Regulation Number 6 of 2024, the declaration of the elected president and vice-president must be carried out no later than 3 days after the Constitutional Court's decision.

"Tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. Jakarta time on April 24, 2024, at the KPU, we will make this declaration," he said,

He added that the declaration event can be watched through the KPU's YouTube channel and several other television stations.

Prabowo and Gibran will be inaugurated on October 20, 2024.

The Constitutional Court on Monday affirmed Prabowo Subianto's victory in the February 14 presidential election. The court rejected a motion by Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo, who demanded a vote annulment, citing insufficient legal grounds and evidence.

Anies and Ganjar accused President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo of interfering in the election by allowing his son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, to be Prabowo's running mate. They claimed that the government increased social aid to influence voters. Additionally, they alleged favoritism, pointing out that Gibran became eligible as a vice-presidential candidate only after the Constitutional Court amended the minimum age requirement in an October hearing presided over by then Chief Justice Anwar Usman, who is Gibran’s uncle.
