KPK Questions Media Moghul Hary Tanoe’s Brother in Social Aid Probe
Jakarta. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday summoned B. Rudijanto Tanoesoedibjo, the elder brother of MNC Group chairman Hary Tanoesoedibjo, for questioning in a newly launched corruption case over the distribution of social aid by the Social Affairs Ministry.
Rudijanto, who serves as president commissioner of Dosni Roha Logistik, appeared at KPK’s headquarters in Jakarta as a witness in the case, KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo said.
“KPK scheduled an examination of a witness in the alleged corruption related to the transportation of social aid distribution at the Social Affairs Ministry,” Budi said in a statement.
The anti-graft agency confirmed that it has named at least one suspect in the case, though their identity has not been disclosed. The investigation, which began in August, is a follow-up to the high-profile corruption scandal that led to the conviction of former Social Affairs Minister Juliari Peter Batubara.
“KPK has issued a new investigation warrant related to the transportation of social aid distribution at the Social Affairs Ministry,” Budi said, adding that the probe stems from evidence gathered in the earlier social aid corruption case.
On Wednesday, the KPK questioned five other witnesses in connection with the case: former Dosni Roha Logistik operations director Herry Tho (2021–2024), former president director Kanisius Jerry Tengker (2018–2022), ministry officials Ibnu Solihin and Fathin Chamama, and DNR commissioner since 2018 and Storesend Elogistics business development director Gary Judianto Tanoesoedibjo.
